Modeling Linear Relationships

This resource provides a full unit to explain linear relationships. It contains pre-assessment, lesson plans with worksheets and answer keys, cooperative learning and re-teaching strategies, and summative assessments.


The correlation between slope and rate of change is developed within these activities. Real-world scenarios are represented in graph form. Multiple representations of data are modeled and opportunities to create these are included. The connections between data, tables, and graphs is evident. Opportunities for students to talk about math are incorporated through group projects.
