Parallel Lines - Lesson Plan

This is a detailed lesson plan with guided practice problems.  It uses foldables to obtain the different angles formed by parallel lines and a transveral, and then has the students measure the angles.  The students then have to draw conclusions about the relationships formed by the angles.  At the end, angle measures are given and the students then must find the missing variable. The lesson plan uses a foldable that allows students to discover the relationships formd by a set of parallel lines. It can be extended by the teacher to give the angles algebraic expressions and then allow students to write an equation to find the variable.
