Spaghetti Bridges - A data collection activity

This activity is a group activity where groups of students try to determine the strength of spaghetti holding pennies in a cup.  Students then graph their findings to determine whether it is a linear equation that results. As a result of this activity, students are able to collect, graph, and interpret data.  Students determine the equation of the line and can use the equation to determine the number of pennies needed to break the number of pieces of spaghetti.
