This film is a little old fashioned, but it has an excellent message on the most economical shape to create, hexagon, and the strongest shape, hexagon. It shows examples of why each is true and several real world uses. There is a shot of an "old" computer at the very end that may be deleted. 7 mins. If your school blocks "You Tube", download a free You Tube converter (http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/) and save in another format.

The student will identify the polygon shapes that tessellate, and see why the hexagon is used in the real world for its strength.
