Mrs. Pingel's Inferring Activity

Mrs. Pingel's Inferring Activity is a great lesson for introducing the act of inferring in a non-threatening and engaging way. As students become familiar with inferring and proficient with the activity, it is suggested that the inferring cards be modified with lengthier passages and inferential why questions to increase rigor. This activity could be used during whole group instruction and in guided reading groups. This activity could be used as a remediation lesson as well.
