Separating Solids

This resource gives a short scenario with a simple table for students to fill out individually, in journals, or on the smartboard. The activity can be demonstrated or hands-on for the students. The scenario and table can be adapted quickly to fit your classroom/school names, etc. The materials used may need to be adapted to what you have on hand, this can be done relatively quickly by editing the table. This activity can be demonstrated first with various materials, possibly even solids and liquids, then give students the solid materials to separate. This is fairly quick and easy to set up, materials can be kept in baggies for reuse.
