The first page on this site is an introduction of how fossils work. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will find a 4 minute video from Nova explaining the process of how fossils are made. Then at the top of the page, click on number 7 Knowledge from Stone: Studying Fossils. This page shows images of scientists working with fossils and describes how scientists use fossils to determine the past.
