Bell work still exists and is a valuable component of the successful classroom environment. Beef up "daily dozen" or "take five" review/extension activities by taking using interactive. Students walk in ready to learn so engage them without your assistance. This frees the instructor up to differentiate instruction or help those that were absent the day before or the empty tanks - the ones that haven't quite mastered a skill or they need to ask you one on one questions.
