OREO - Persuasive Writing
After brainstorming topics about which they have an opinion, students choose a topic for the writing assignment. Using the acronym OREO to remind them to first state their opinion, next a reason for their opinion, then an explanation, and finally a restatement of their opinion students learn to write a persuasive paragraph.
