Don't Touch It!

The writer recommends this lesson for Kindergarten and Grade 1, but it is appropriate for second graders learning how magnets can move objects without touching them. The hands-on activity is sure to engage students and stimulate science conversation among students. After students complete the activity described in the lesson plan, they will be ready to devise some simple experiments of their own to explore how else magnets can move an object without touching the object.
