Inherited Traits and Learned Behaviors Charades

This link is to a pdf for a complete lesson plan. The lesson plan is written in the 5 E model.  The author provided notes, including key student misconceptions, in the column of the file. All the printable forms are available at the end of the file and are clear and easy to read.  The lesson  plan is built on a game of charades that the students perform and from there they collect and record data and create a family tree of information. This lesson plan is one that could be printed off and put into practice almost immediately.  There are no extra materials needed besides copies of what is included within the lesson plan.  The lesson plan is easy to understand and follow.  It addresses inherited traits and learned behaviors.  The "notes for teacher" column is nice to have so as a teacher you can be aware of what to look for while you are implementing this lesson.
