Compare and Contrast Unit Plan

This is a three lesson unit teaching comparing and contrasting skills. The three units are: Identifying What is the Same, Identifying What is Different, and Similarities and Differences  in a Text. Teacher uses direct instruction and guided practice to compare and contrast information found in the text. Students identify the differences between two pictures when comparing them. Students respond independently by drawing and writing on a graphic organizer. The lesson plan suggests using the book Long Ago and Today by Rozanne Lanczak Williams.
